REVIEW | Skinfood Masks

I never really cared for my skin when I was younger. I just wash my face then go for any powder that's available then I am good to go. At night, I just wash then sleep. Nothing special for my face until I saw some lines and discolorations. I realized I've neglected my face for such a long time and that I need to do something now before it gets worse.

Note: Prior to posting this, I've used the Skinfood masks once so the review was based on initial reaction of a first-time user. Yes, I used all masks in one day. Haha, that's how fast I want to know all their initial effects on my skin.
Here are the masks I used. I used the samples first so that I would know what suits me best before using the full sized one in the future.

Here's my ugly face before using any mask. Redness and oil all over haha.

First Mask: Black Sesame Hot Mask
The mask opens up pores with a warm heat of salt and sugar powder and eliminates waste material in a rough skin affected by the accumulated keratin. It provides an amazing silkiness to skin with nourishing black sesame extract.

Right: with mask on
Left: washed off

VERDICT: This is my favorite out of the five masks. It really creates a slight heat effect on the face which is relaxing. It made my skin really smooth and cancelled out the redness immediately. It did brighten my face in an instant. What I don't like is the smell. It smells like burnt rice or something. But still, I love this.

Second Mask: Black Sugar Mask Wash Off

Black sugar mask with rich minerals and viatmin to provide luster and smoothness to skin.

Right: with mask on

Left: washed off

VERDICT: Rougher than other facial scrubs. A little goes a long way. The scent smells really artificial buy I liked it. Not really a fan because it has big granules for scrubbing. But after using this, my skin became smoother. My face became a bit red again because of the granules.

Third Mask: Rice Mask Wash Off
Mask with nutirious rice extracts for soft skin texture.

Right: with mask on
Left: washed off

VERDICT: I liked this too. It has fine granules for mild exfoliation. It is scented but not that strong compared to Black Sugar Mask. Eliminated red spots and made my skin look smooth and feel smooth a bit more.

Fourth Mask: Acai Berry
A mask pack that quenches thirsty dry skin with abundant moisture in the extract of acai berries from the Amazon jungle.

Right: with mask on
Left: washed off

VERDICT: I like the hydrating factor but I despise the smell. It doesn't smell organic at all. But, anyhow, I still liked the effect on my skin because it made my skin looked radiant.

Fifth Mask: Acorn Jelly
A mask pack that effectively tightens oil-clogged enlarged pores and exfoliates layers of dead skin cells with powdered acorns from Jiri-mountain.

VERDICT: This one felt really nice on my face. It really worked well on my T-zone where I tend to get oily. Like the other masks, this isn't a good-smelling mask. It gives a tingly feeling while on the face so I think this one's not recommended to those who have sensitive skin.

VIOLA! Here's my face after using the 5 masks.

Love,
Micmic
