September Lovin: Disney Inspired Look *Pocahontas*

"You think you own whatever land you land on
The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim..."

Yes, I was singing that song the whole time I wasrecreating Pocahontas’ look. I think singing that sets me more in the mood.

I know some of you are aware that I am having a collaboration with my 2 fellowbeauty bloggers. Our posts for this week are all about our chosen Disney princesses. Click here to see our introduction.

I chose Pocahontas because aside from Tiana, for me, she’s the most unique whenit comes to her looks. I don’t really know much about the stories of the Disneyprincesses so basically, I just based everything on the looks although I haveheard once that Pocahontas’ story exemplifies beauty that doesn’t look on aperson’s skin color or race. I know, I know. I missed almost half of my lifenot being able to enjoy those stories but I it’s never too late, as they say.

As you can see, I did not make the look really tan because I think it kinda look dirty on me. But I still managed to show off her features in my look...or not?

I blended foundations to be a tad darker then contoured the cheeks and nose. I also made the brows more defined and made my lips look bigger. For the eye shadow, I just used a matte dark brown shadow then blended along the crease area using an orange eye shadow.

So, was it a success for me? I certainly hope so. I really had fun doing this. There had been some problems with the schedule and connections but I am so glad I finally made it! So happy for myself.

Please check out my friends' creations as well. I am sure, their's are much better than mine. :)
