REVIEW: Dove White Beauty Bar

Let me start by saying that I hated this soap when I was younger. All I care about my skin before is for it to stay as dry as possible. That's what you become when you lack knowledge on what's good and what's bad for your skin. So yeah, I avoided this brand of soap for ages.

There are tons of reviews about this product already and I don't know if mine will still matter. But, let me still share my experience with you, okay?

I am only reviewing the sample size I received from Sample Room. To be honest, I was happy when I found out that SR has this. At least I was able to try it out first before deciding if I'm going to get the full size or not.

Product description (source):

With ¼ moisturizing cream, richly-blended with its mildest cleansers, no other beauty bar has more skin-natural moisturizers than Dove®. Everyday moisture is the key to beautiful skin. And who knows moisture better than Dove®?

Ingredients, directions, some precaution tips and how to store the product:

I love the design of the soap. It is simple yet very cute because of the dove engraved design. Aside from the design, this is really moisturizing. I have dry skin and this helped me regain that moisturized youthful skin. At first few tries, you will feel like it's hard to rinse but I tell you, that's where the moisturizing part happens. It is a soap and lotion combo!

What I like:
- Cute dove design.

- Really moisturizing.
- Smells so great (fresh, clean scent).
- Although it's a cream bar, it lasted pretty long on me. Just don't let it sit on a soap dish that has water or it will melt.
- Affordable.
- Available locally.

Neutral:
- The feel of still having soap even after rinsing. This makes me rinse my body more. Haha!

What I don't like:
- None. Whoa! From hating it before and NOW, I AM LOVING IT TO BITS! How's that?

Where to purchase?
- At your leading department stores and supermarkets nationwide.

Price:
50 g - Php 25
75 g - Php 35
100 g - Php 45
135 g - Php 55

Affordability: 5/5
OVERALL: 4.8/5

I'd recommend this, most especially, to those who are experiencing dryness of the skin because this will really help you. But if you don't like the feel of having lotion or moisturizer, then this soap isn't for you. Try it for yourself, who knows, your perception might change just like what happened to me.

I will definitely repurchase and be ready to see that in my hauls in the future.

  1. My OB recommended the unscented variant of this soap because when she checked me down there it's super dry (because of feminine wash) but I opted to use J&J Baby soap as this soap makes me feel not properly rinsed. hahaha

I still use safeguard and then Kojic or sometimes shower gel :)
