REVIEW: Missha Red Ginseng Sheet Mask

It is very rare that I pamper my skin. Why? I don't know. Maybe it's because I am not that conscious when it comes to skin care. Yeah, I know that's a bad thing. Slowly, I am learning and I have learned that masks are important but also it will depend on what benefits you are looking for.

This is the second time I am going to use a sheet mask and I forgot already how I felt before when I used one. So I went blog hopping before using this mask, looking for some info if sheet masks do really work. I am glad I saw this post from My Women Stuff. My skin needs to be hydrated as it is very dry the past days (FYI, I have combination type of skin; oily on the T-zone really dry on the other areas). I guessed using this mask will at least, refresh my dull skin. So I used it.

Product description, ingredients and directions on how to use it.

I know I look funny with the mask on my face. Well, I guess I'll do whatever it takes just to look good, hahaha! Anyone up for another Jabbawockeez wannabe? LOL!

Even my dog was amused on how I looked while using the mask. I had to cover the mouth area because I wasn't ready when the photo was taken. My mouth was open wide. :D

What I noticed the morning after using the mask is that it reduced the redness of my blemishes and it softened my skin. I haven't noticed any lifting effect so I guess one time use is not enough for that.

What I like:
- Mask is individually packed making it really hygienic.

- It gave a cooling effect on my skin making me feel more relaxed and fresh.
- Does not feel sticky at all.
- I think I am liking sheet masks as I don't need to wash my face after using it. Haha, lazy me.
- I saw quite noticeable effects the morning after I used it. Very minimal though.
- Available locally.

What I don't like:
- The ginseng scent is just a turn off for me. Well, yeah, it is a red ginseng mask. :(
- The 3D design didn't work for me. The mask is still loose on some areas of my face.

- May take some time (and masks too) before you see really evident effects which I think is normal. I just included this so that you know what to expect.
- Contains paraben.
- A bit pricey for a one time use mask.

I think this mask will benefit both dry and oily skin. Remember, oiliness is a sign of dehydration as your skin is trying to compensate by producing more oil. Also, if you're feeling a bit stressed, it works well too.

Overall, if not for its scent, price and the paraben it contains, I think it's a good product to try. It's a nice product to use to freshen up your face but I always value the scent and the ingredients so I guess I won't be repurchasing.

  1. Aww man! Sucks about the paraben. They really sneak those into many products!
I love sheet masks but it can be quite a bummer to size it on your face correctly. Then again, I think it's not possible to design a sheet mask that will fit every face shape in the world. Oh well! ;)
