Yesterday, while I was painting my nails, I kind of thought of different colors that I can use for the entire summer. Then, I realized that it's, somehow, a good idea. Also, blogging it would be an awesome thing to do.
I asked le bf on things that summer reminds him of and we were able to come up with 5 themes. And for the first one, it will be FRUITS. Yes, summer reminds us of fruits.
I have to be honest, I don't like fruits. Yes, I eat once in a while but given the chance, I'll choose vegetables over fruits. But, now, I am starting to eat as much fruits as I can because I know that it's good for me, most especially, to my skin. I want to have clear, young and radiant looking skin.
With this series, I kept everything to budget-friendly brands. I hope that's okay with you. We can always have fab nails at a very low cost. ^_^
The first brand that I used is Color Trends. This caught my attention when I was shopping for nail polishes because of the shape of it's bottle. Also, for such an affordable nail polish, I think 11 ml is a lot already. I'm sorry for not showing a photo of it's brush but I just want to tell you that it has a very decent brush. That's actually one of the major downfalls of cheap nail polishes, the flimsy and very thin brushes. But this one can pass as having a good brush that does not give streaky marks and spreads the polish evenly.
I chose Tamarind Sherbet because I find the color really pretty and perfect for summer. Just as I was applying this, then, I realized that this reminds me of fruits, in general. Although there are fruits that isn't colored orange or peach, it still does remind me of fruits. I even asked my boyfriend and he told me that this reminds him of cantaloupe.
See the price? I hope I am not giving you a hard time seeing that. I got this for only 19.75 pesos and I think that's really a steal.
