EOTD: Smoky Purple Eye for Daytime

A sort of makeup look post, yay! I wore this EOTD few days ago and it is not really a normal thing for me to put on eyeshadows so I might as well share it to you. I am not a pro but I want to show you my take on Smoky Purple Eyes that can be worn during your daytime activities.

I actually got my inspiration from the top that I wore on the same day. It has random patterns printed in different hues and shades of purple, blue and violet. I used my ELF Beauty Book in Smoky Eye Set that I received few month ago from ELF Philippines.

Pardon my not so well-defined brows. I did not line my eyes because I don't want too much stuff going on my eyes since I am aiming for a daytime look.

I'll be ending this post with a more clearer photo of my look. The smoky eye makeup isn't really visible when my eyes are open. It only shows up when I close or blink my eyes. That's a perfect daytime smoky eyes for me. Matched it with Beauty UK blusher in Candy Pink and Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling to make the look more appropriate for daytime. *wink*

God bless!

  4. You did a great job! I like that it's not too heavy and still a little smokey. Ako naman I always lean towards neutral shades.

  5. You look great on the last photo. This smoky eye is perfect nga in daytime but I can't sport violets/ purples. It do not match my warm skin tone. I think you're maputi kaya bagay sa iyo, cool tone ka. :)

  11. Hi Michelle! I enjoy reading your blog entries, especially when you do product reviews. So in-depth and detailed (i think i'm being too redundant already lol) Anyway, you may want to improve your eotd / fotd posts by having some facial waxing or threading done. I'm pretty sure it would really help improve the way foundation (and how some other products) sits on your face and it would definitely make the photos more appealing and gorgeous!

    xoxo,

    your avid reader.

  12. Hi! I've tried both threading and waxing in salons before but there are times that I can't fit that into my schedule. But since you commented about my facial hairs, I will try to find a good product that I can use at home to remove unwanted hairs. Haha! Thank you so much for reading my posts! :)

  13. Ohhhh you may want to try sugar waxing. It doesn't need to be hot (like the wax used in salons) plus its very cheap and effective to boot! I actually make my own, although you can try the famous Strip It! Sugar Waxing Kit (they also have a chocolate variant, although i haven't tried that one yet). If you do decide to try it, could I ask it as a favor from you to do a blogpost on the whole waxing experience? lol I've been trying to get my sister to try it but she's still very hesitant to do so. Maybe if she'd see another in-depth review, maybe she'll change her mind about it :P

  14. I have tried Strip it pero on my legs and armpits lang. Not yet sa face. I will be trying the Chocolate variant really soon so watch out for that. :)

Here's my review on the original one. I used it on my 14 year old sister and she's now an avid user of that. http://www.micmicscorner.com/review-strip-it-hair-removal-sugaring/
