REVIEW | Snow Skin Whitening Soap

I was naturally born with morena skin. When I was younger, I would always get envious of people who has fair skin. Yes, I know, we should be contented with what we have but I guess it is safe to say that there's nothing wrong with wanting to have lighter skin tone to add extra boost to your confidence.

Snow- Skin Whitening Soap ( with 7 Plant extracts from the Swiss Alps)
Php149.00 per pc ( 135g) . Available in mercury Drugstores

The company, Vida Nutriscience, who manufactured Snow Caps and Snow Skin Whitening Soap contacted me and asked if I want to try their products. Since I still have a bottle of glutathione capsules from a different brand, I decided to try the soap alone.

I like the clean-looking packaging. It really suits the name "Snow".

At the back of the box, you will see all necessary information like product information, ingredients and directions on how to use it.

The box isn't like the those of other soaps and has somewhat sturdy feel to it making sure that the soap inside is secure.

Each soap also comes with a leaflet that contains additional information about the soap. It actually gives information about the Alpaflor Gigawhite which is the whitening component of this soap.

It contains 7 Plant Extracts from  the Swiss Alps:

  • Veronica Officinalis Extract

  • Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract

  • Achillea millefolium Extract

  • Malva Sylvestris (Mallow) Extract

  • Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract

  • Primula VerisExtract

  • Alchemilla Vulgaris Extract

It is also protected with a plastic but here I have already removed it. The soap looks pretty simple. It reminds me of those gentle glycerine soaps I have tried way way back.

What I like:

  • Neutral scent. It doesn't have strong scent which, I think, helps the soap to be milder than other brands.

  • Lathers really well.

  • Very mild; doesn't sting and no peeling observed.

  • Non-drying. I sometimes forget applying lotion and it was never a problem with this soap.

  • Gives skin a nice healthy look.

  • Gives a nice, clean feeling after use.

Neutral

  • I guess it is safe to say that this is a bit pricey if you will compare it with other whitening soaps in the market. But since it is feels gentle on my skin, I wouldn't mind the price.

What I don’t like:

  • After finishing 2 bars, I did not notice intense whitening effect. I can see a nice glow but I can't really tell that it has lightened my skin.

  • It gets soft easily. When placed in a dish with water, I think it absorbs the water making the soft really soft that when you touch it, it gets deformed.

Ratings:

  • Effectiveness: 3.5/5

  • Availability: 4/5

  • Affordability: 3.5/5

Overall Rating: 3.8/5

I think I need to use this soap for a longer time to see more visible results. But for now, I like how gentle it is and I am in love with the glow my skin achieved after using this.
