REVIEW | Avon Skin Goodness BB Cream in Nude

Hello loves! I am back! Here's another review for you and I'll try to make this short as possible. I got sick since yesterday so I think I will be needing some rest. This has been sitting on my drafts for some time now and I know I have to share it.

AVON Skin Goodness BB Cream
SPF 20/PA ++

Shade: Nude
Price: Php 399 for 18g of product

Watch the video below for my first impression review.

This product comes in a squeezable tube type packaging which is I think is one of the most convenient type of especially for liquid products because you have control.

The only thing I think will be a hindrance to the nice control of product coming out is the quite big opening of the tube. It makes it a bit messy especially around the nozzle area.

I believe it has two shades: light and nude. What I will be using is nude. It came off a bit lighter at first but toned down a bit few minutes after I have finished my makeup.

The box displays the list of ingredients so if you are allergic to any of this, it will be easy for you to see.

Here is a heavy swatch of the product (without and with flash). The consistency is thin, like a tinted moisturizer, and the coverage is light. The product has this pink tone to it.

Here is a before and after using of the product photo of my face. As you can tell, it was not able to completely cover imperfections. You can also notice that it made my skin a bit ashy-looking but it gets better as it stays longer on the face. I find this product okay if you don't need too much coverage and just want to even out skin color. It feels very light and has that almost matte finish.

Here's how I look after I finish my makeup. I applied my usual makeup and I actually like how I look. The powder I used is translucent because I want to retain the coverage this bb cream gives.

Sad to say though, my skin got oily around 4 hours of wearing this product. The weather that time is not totally hot. So if you are going to wear this on a very hot weather, expect to oil up after 3-4 hours.

What I like:

  • Tube-type packaging

  • With list of ingredients

  • Very lightweight and easy to blend

  • Nude shade adapted nicely on my skin color

  • The scent isn't bothersome at all

  • Evens out skin tone

  • Available locally

What I don’t like:

  • The opening of the packaging is quite big for my liking

  • Light coverage

  • Cannot be layered for added coverage

  • Wears off in some areas around 3-4 hours of wearing it; I oiled up mainly on the nose area

  • Though it is available locally, you can only get it through their outlets or Avon dealers

  • Pricey; Php399 for 18g of product

  • Packaging: 4/5

  • Texture: 4/5

  • Scent: 4/5

  • Coverage: 3/5

  • Lasting power: 3/5

  • Availability: 3.5/5

  • Affordability: 3/5

Overall rating: 3.5/5

The product isn't so bad because I can still use it for quick errands but I have decided I will not repurchase it. I just find it really pricey for the amount of product I got. Also, when I tested the product, the weather is actually a bit cold so come summer, this product will possibly melt off from my face earlier than expected.

If you have dry skin and don't have much to cover, this might work for you.

So overall, I'd rather spend my money on foundations/bb creams that offers better coverage and can last longer.

I hope you find my review helpful. See you next time.

  1. This is so pink-toned. I just wish they had something more yellow. Having to blind buy it from the avon lady is hard enough guesswork. :(

  2. They have this CC cream (the one in cream colored tube ata). It it more yellow toned than this. For base makeup, you really have to swatch it first kaya lang sa Avon ladies, brochure lang and minsan di accurate. :(

  3. True. The colors aren't so accurate on the brochure. Kahit mga lipstick medyo mahirap tuloy tanstahin.

  4. I got mine at 249.. sadly this BB cream doesnt have a good coverage..

  5. Yes, my imperfections are still peeking through.
