Belo Intensive Whitening Line with Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid

Hello everyone! How's your day so far? Mine started a bit hectic but I am thankful for I know I have something that keeps me busy. But for now, let me share with you three products I have been using for almost two weeks now.

This is the Belo Intensive Whitening Line with Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid. This was given to me by the company for review purposes and it consists of a whitening bar/soap, face and neck cream and body cream. I really adore the packaging. I never really liked orange but this screams happiness to me. I don't know why but the color reminds me to be hopeful in anything and everything. So I guess there is still hope for my not so fair skin, right?

I have heard and used products with Kojic Acid before but Tranexamic Acid is new to me. This is the first time I will be able to use products that contains both. It made me feel that this will perform better than the previous whitening products I have used.

I first heard of these products through this commercial that I saw on television. Sarah Geronimo is one of those artists that I like. She's one talented lady but I find her still grounded despite all her achievements as a performer.

Of course, I started with the Belo Intensive Whitening Bar (Php 59.75). When I opened it from its box, the bar itself is wrapped with a plastic so that ensures that the soap is fresh and clean. The size of the soap is a bit smaller compared to other soaps you see in the market.

The soap lathers really well. You won't need to rub the soap too much on your skin. It does not melt too which is a good thing! Now I know why this soap is smaller compared to other brands. It has a mild citrus-like scent which I like because it makes me look forward to taking a bath but after rinsing, it does not leave any smell on the skin.

I use this for my face and body and this soap can be a bit drying since it contains acid in it but nothing that a cream or lotion can't handle. Personally, I find soaps like this to be more effective because it helps remove the dead skin making way for fresher skin to appear. Aside from the drying effect, I did not feel the stinging or itchiness mentioned on the packaging.

Overall rating: 5/5

I have nothing to complain about this soap. I find it effective and really worth trying out. Among the whitening soaps I have tried, this is by far, my most favorite. I will be repurchasing this really soon.

Moving on, we have this Belo Intensive Whitening Face and Neck Cream (Php 249.75). I was a bit hesitant to try this because I am deeply in love with my previous facial moisturizer that I don't want to replace it but for the sake of being able to test out the whole set, I set aside my previous facial moisturizer and used this.

I am happy because it contains SPF 30. It is of utmost importance that you use sunblock when you are using whitening products. But I hate using one because I find them sticky on the skin. Now I don't have to worry because my face is still protected for few hours of sun exposure.

Not all moisturizers or facial creams has a spatula so I got to give credit to this. Hygienic and there is control in the amount of product you will be getting. The consistency is thick but it gets absorbed by the skin easily and not greasy at all. It has a fragrant scent to it. I can't describe scents really well but this one seems to pass my standards for that. I actually like it. The packaging has double lid for hygiene purposes but sometimes, I find it hard to close it because the small lid inside gets a bit flimsy. Minor detail though.

For almost two weeks of using this and the soap on my face, my skin got brighter. Although it didn't get really fair, the color was evened out. I tried my best to capture almost similar photo with same lighting so you can see the results.

Overall rating: 4/5

I love that it was able to help lighten my skin in just a short period of time. Although it is not as moisturizing as the other moisturizers, it was still able to relieve dryness caused by the soap.

For the body, aside from the soap, I used this Belo Intensive Whitening Body Cream (Php 199.75). I am not into applying body lotions/creams so this one is a challenge for me. But of course, I used it. Truth be told, I liked it! This is actually the first time I got consistent in applying a body cream day and night!

Just like the facial cream, this also has SPF 30 that keeps my skin protected when exposed to UVA and UVB.

At first, you will think that the consistency is thick but once you apply it on your skin, you will feel that it gets absorbed instantly. It feels cool on the skin and not greasy too. The scent is similar to the facial cream but this one is more long lasting. I actually love it and I find myself reapplying this more often than usual because I love the scent!

The photo above does not give justice to the product but it was able to lighten my knees area (the only editing I did was cropping and combining the photos). My skin was a bit scaly before and now, it has improved. I find the whitening effect not as quick as the facial cream but it was able to help unleash the natural glow of my skin. The moisturizing effect doesn't happen in a snap though. You have to use this a couple of times before you noticeable moisturizing effect.

So that is my take on the Belo Intensive Whitening Set. Overall, I am very satisfied with the results and will continue on using these to further improve my skin condition. I hope you find this helpful. I will end the post with a quote written on a card placed inside the box of the whitening bar. This message does not only apply to taking care of physical appearance but for the overall well-being.

  1. My skin is on the sensitive side, so I think I'd start with the soap on the rest of my body first. Then the face.

I tried this soap for 6 months. After long use, it gave me yellowish skin tone. Did you have the same experience? Tnx.

  6. No, I have not. But I was not able to use the soap for more than 2 months since I constantly change my soap. The ones I am still using are the facial cream and body cream and my skin isn't too yellow. If you think the soap is the cause, maybe you can skip using it for the meantime and observe what will happen.
