REVIEW | Strip It Makeup Remover and Facial Cleanser

Applying makeup is something that I enjoy because I find it therapeutic. Removing it is one of the things I don't enjoy but I know I have to do. Though there are times I forget and head straight to the bed. Makeup removers that does not require wash of the face afterwards are my best friend during the times I don't want water touching my face. Admit it, washing face ruins sleepy moments. Haha!

Right now I want to share with you Strip It's newest product which is the Makeup Remover and Facial Cleanser. I bought these babies about two months ago and now I am ready to share with you my thoughts about it.

It comes in two sizes: 100ml (Php 130) and 250ml (Php 250). Both placed inside a plastic bottle. I got  both sizes because I will be placing the big one on the area where I normally remove my makeup and the small one for travel.

It has a pump that you can rotate to close or to open. Plus point for that!

Here are some of the good stuff this product has. My favorite is the pore clearing tomato extracts because it keeps me safe from getting clogged pores.

The consistency reminds me of those of gel-based moisturizers or thick serums with milky texture. But this one does not feel greasy or oily. Once removed, it will leave the skin feeling fresh, soft and smooth.

If you want to see how I used this, please watch the video below. The first part, I used this with cotton pads and on the second part, I used it with water.

Photos above show that this product really works. The first photo was taken when I used this with cotton pads. It used four pads to be able to get rid of all the makeup including my waterproof mascara.  The second photo was taken when I used the product with water. Both ways gave me satisfying results.

What I like:

  • Packaging has pump

  • Was able to remove makeup traces from my face ( you just have to be patient with the waterproof ones)

  • Unscented

  • Not greasy

  • Moisturizing

  • Can be used with cotton pads on days I don't want to wash my face anymore

  • Can also be used with water and acts as a facial wash/cleanser

What I don't like:

  • No expiry date printed on the packaging (I was told that it can last up to one year from first use)

  • You will be needing more product compared to other makeup removers

  • Product label is printed on a paper sticker that can get rubbed off when it gets wet

  • Can only be purchased through their website and distributors

Ratings:

  • Packaging: 4/5

  • Texture: 5/5

  • Effectiveness: 4/5

  • Availability: 4/5

  • Affordability: 5/5

Overall rating: 4/5

This product is a new favorite! It is effective yet very subtle on the skin. Those minor things I disliked are things that didn't really affect product's performance but it will be better if those will be improved. Other than that, I think this is a perfect product to those individuals who find makeup removers in the market a bit harsh for their sensitive skin. This is going to be your buddy before going to bed.

How do you remove your makeup? What products do you normally use? I would love to read your comments.
