FOOD CORNER | McDonalds McRib - My Newest Desire

It's been a long time since I last posted something about food that I have tried for the first time. Not sure if this is going to be my last but my boyfriend and I are planning on creating a Youtube channel where we will feature all our food adventures. I am excited but I am not sure when it is happening. So here's a food post first.

Last week, my sister and I decided to order online and our first pick was McDonald's. I ordered McRib with iced coffee and fries. Normally, I am not the type who would try out something new but this time, I gave it a shot and I actually loved it!

Upon opening, I saw this long bun (about 5 inch long) with pork patty shaped like a real rib. I ordered McRib and NOT the deluxe one because I like onions with barbecue sauce than leafy vegetables. This is being sold at P99 (ala carte).

They are very generous with the barbecue sauce. You can definitely see and taste it from beginning up to the last bite. If you have tried their McNuggets, the barbecue sauce of that is way different with this one. I find this sweeter and has a thinner consistency. It has lesser kick of spiciness which saddened me a bit but I got over it, haha! If you are into sweet and smoky barbecue sauce, this one is definitely for you.

What intrigued me which led me to buying this is the "rib" idea. I didn't really know that it is going to be pork patty that is shaped like ribs. You know what I want to do next time I order this? I want to eat the patty with rice.

McRib is only available here in the Philippines for a limited time. You can also order McRib Deluxe which includes lettuce instead of onions and pickles for P119.

I missed doing posts like this. Hopefully, I can do this again really soon.

  1. Most people here don't seem to like this, they were probably thinking that they were getting a real "rib" haha.

  2. Haha that's what I thought at first (minus the bones, of course). But I am glad what's inside is a patty because it easier to chew especially for a person always multi-tasking like me. Thanks for dropping by! :)
