REVIEW | Ever Bilena Lip Pencils (Deep Pink, Maroon Red, Cappuccino)

Here's another local product review for you. I have been using these for the past months and I must say, they are affordable and able to perform well.

I was never a lip product person. I don't know why but I normally go out even without anything on my lips. Maybe it is because I don't get to do touch-ups every time. So instead of having uneven lip color, I just opted to go natural. Ever Bilena Lip Pencil is an exception to that. I will give way for a quick touch-up because I am currently loving them!

I did not buy all the shades available simply because I don't think they will all suit my skin tone. Also, there are some that looks frosted and some with glitters in it.

Deep Pink, Maroon Red and Cappuccino are the ones I bought. Aside from having shade names printed, the color of each lip pencil is also shown at the bottom part. I don't need to open each pencil just to see what shade it is. You can also see the ingredients and shelf life printed.

As for the consistency of the shades I have with me, they are all creamy during application but not too creamy to the point that it will bleed. I sometimes struggle on the dry areas. But when my lips aren't that dry, application is very easy. It sets matte but it does not crack or peel off. All are very pigmented that with just one swipe, color is visibly seen already.

As for the longevity, you may base it on the photo above. The first was taken after I applied the product. The shade is intense and very matte. After four hours (2nd photo) of wearing the product and also after eating my lunch, I took a photo and surprised to see the I still have color and my lips so I did not retouch. But you can definitely see that the color intensity changed and it does not feel as matte as when I applied. After a total of seven hours (3rd photo), that's when I realized that touch up is needed because the color on the inner rims of my lips have faded already. Re-application is easy for as long as you don't have dry lips.

What I like:

  • Packaging. Shade shown at the bottom. Ingredients and shelf life printed.

  • Very pigmented.

  • Long lasting.

  • Comes in different shades.

  • Fragrance-free.

  • Affordable.

  • Available nationwide.

What I don’t like:

  • Product is not sealed when bought.

  • Can be drying on the lips and accentuates dry areas (be sure to moisturize).

  • There's one shade with glitters (I didn't buy it).

  • Needs to be sharpened from time to time (Duh, Mic! It's a pencil! Haha). I just hate sharpening.

  • Packaging: 4/5

  • Consistency: 3.5/5

  • Pigmentation: 5/5

  • Lasting power: 4/5

  • Availability: 5/5

  • Affordability: 5/5

Overall Rating: 4/5

I love these Ever Bilena lip pencils that I bought. I have been raving about this and even let my sister try them. I love finding affordable yet quality products. I am pretty sure this one's a good find. My only concern is that these lip pencils make dry areas on my lips more visible and it looks very unattractive. Also, I hope they will release ones that are sealed with plastic for hygiene purposes.

It's pretty! Lip tints are my go-to lip product, I'm not that confident to wear deep shade lipsticks because I have full/thicker lips. But my mom told me it's not bagay daw when it's uneven.

  4. It is really beautiful. Thanks for dropping by!
