REVIEW | Revia Hair Color Cream in Light Brown

Hello gorgeous! Lately, I have been more adventurous with my hair color. I went from dark to reddish color, to ashy color and to green. But this time, after my hair has faded and went back to rusty in color, I decided to color it again. I used the Revia Hair Color Cream in Light Brown which was sent to me by Revia Philippines. It is time for me to go back to my natural hair color.

Description at the back of it's box. REVIA hair color perfectly covers gray hairYes! I have few strands of gray hair and I definitely want them covered.

Here's a little guide that you'll have an idea what the color will be after the process depending on your previous color.

And, you know me, I like a product that has manufacturing or expiry dates. It helps especially when you want to stock up for future purposes.

You will get the following: coloring cream, activator, hair care balm, printed instructions and a pair of plastic gloves.

As you can see, the cream does not appear uniform in color so I think mixing is crucial to be able to get even hair color.

The instruction is to squeeze the cream into the bottle of activator but I find it easier to pour both in a mixing bowl. I asked my sister to apply it on my hair because I want to make sure that it is well distributed. One box covered 3/4 of my hair so I had to mix another set of coloring cream and activator but only used half of it. It may be because I have previously bleached hair. If you have normal hair with the same length, I think one box is enough.

After 35 minutes, I rinsed my hair with water first then I used shampoo and the hair care balm as my conditioner. The result looks darker than my previous hair color but it is what I expected. Light Brown is a very natural brown.

Here, it may look uneven but it is only because my hair on the right photo is still damp.

What I really like is the fact that Light Brown shade covered my strands of gray hair. I felt a lot younger after using this. The hair on the right photo looks more blended too.

After a month, here's what my hair looks like. The color is still presentable.

What I like:

  • Affordable.

  • Easy to use.

  • No strong smell.

  • I didn't feel irritated or itchy during the process.

  • Did not dry my hair.

  • Covered my gray hair.

  • The hair care balm can be used twice.

  • It gives 3D color effect.

  • Available in Watsons.

  • Comes in 12 shades.

What I don’t like:

  • One box is not enough for my hair.

This is a good hair coloring product to try especially if you planning on doing it in your home. My sister and I enjoyed our bonding moment while she was applying this on my hair. It was very easy and non-irritating. But, as always, I would suggest doing skin test prior to application.

You can definitely see my hair looked healthier and not flat-looking. It seemed to have a bit of dimension and I am thinking it is because of the 3D effect.
