REVIEW and SWATCHES | Ever Bilena Advance Liquid Lipsticks

Hello! Here's another review and this is going to be about the Ever Bilena Advance Liquid Lipsticks. I am a late bloomer with makeup that's why I am quite late with the different trends. I don't usually put on eye and lip makeup but I try them once in a while because it is always fun discovering new things.

I've had these for months now and I must say, I already have some favorites from the line.

Let me tell you first that I love the packaging! It is simple but looks elegant to me. I don't normally see something like this from Ever Bilena so I think they've stepped up with regards to packaging. It is prone to getting scratches inside my makeup purse but I don't mind. And like make other liquid lipsticks, you can see the shades even without opening the product.

In case you are interested to know, you can find the ingredients and manufacturing dates on the plastic seal and the shade name is at the bottom of each liquid lipstick.

It comes with a doe foot applicator that I find a bit smaller than the other ones I have used before. The application was never a problem with this.

They are very opaque especially the darker shades. It has a slight thick consistency but not sticky.

As I have mentioned before, I am not the best person to ask about shades, colors and undertones and which one will suit a specific skin tone, but I did try my best to capture the color through the camera so these swatches can be your guide.

The lighter shades have the tendency to emphasize lines and dryness but they did not make my lips extra dry. They look shiny on the lips but if you want to mattify them, you can always use a tissue to blot off excess. But even after doing that, these liquid lipsticks will still have the tendency to transfer, unlike other matte liquid lipsticks.

What I like:

  • Very affordable at 180 pesos

  • Available locally

  • Simple packaging

  • Ingredients and manufacturing date were printed on the label

  • They have a name for each color (I am not good with codes)

  • You can see the colors right away

  • Pigmented

  • Unscented

  • Long lasting (7-8 hours for darker shades and 4-5 hours for lighter shades)

  • Non-sticky

  • Not drying on the lips

  • Easy to reapply

What I don’t like:

  • Not lightweight

  • Transfers and bleeds (blot to minimize)

  • Some shades are on the neon side

  • Shiny finish (blotting helps in making it appear matte)

  • No brownish-nude color

Overall, I think getting all the shades is not necessary. I will repurchase but I think I'll just get 1 or 2 shades. My favorite is Rich Vino and for me, it is the best from the line. I hope they can come up with other shades that is more suitable to morenas like me.
