REVIEW | Peripera Peri's Tint Water in Strawberry Juice

Hello, ladies! I am back with a product review to share with you. Most of the time, I would choose lip tints over lipsticks because they don't feel that heavy on the lips and some are even transfer-proof. And my recent discovery is this Peripera Peri's Tint Water.

Made in Korea

Peripera Peri's Tint Water is a lightweight juice-inspired lip stain that covers lips with a single swipe of the included wand. Formulated with nourishing fruit complexes, it is a long-lasting, super bright color (source).

Watch the video where I used this lip tint.

I got this during the time I was invited by Althea Korea to be one of their beta testers (see my post here). We were given credits that we can use to shop and one of the products I chose is this one. Look at that adorable packaging. Who wouldn't fall for that?I wanted a bright red tint that will still look natural on me so I opted for the shade Strawberry Juice. On the bottom of the bottle, you will find the manufacturing date (I believe). I am just a bit confused if they changed the size of the bottle because here, you can see that it says 8.0ml but on the website of Althea, it states if contains 6.2ml of the product. Also, I couldn't find this shade on the website anymore. So I am thinking they probably discontinued it or it is just out of stock. I am still posting my review in case you guys are interested. They still have other shades to try out like Cherry Juice, Pink Juice, Orange Juice, Mandarin Juice and Candy Juice.I didn't find an expiry date but on the bottom part of the box, you will see the shelf life of this product and it states 12 months upon opening. This is how the bottle looks like. It resembles some nail polishes I've seen before but this one is a lot cuter! You can see that the cap and the bottle itself have almost the same size so be very careful when opening it. It happened to me one time, I opened it upside down and spilled a lot of product. As for the consistency, and as the name suggests, it is water-like.

After using it on my lips and cheek

I also use it as a cheek tint and I love the slight flush it gives. It has the tendency to set quickly so you have to use it sparingly, blend it out first and add more to intensify. After few hours of wear (with eating), I can still see the tint on my lips and on my cheeks as well.

What I like:

  • Very cute packaging

  • With manufacturing date and shelf life printed

  • Has a nice, sweet, slightly fruity scent

  • The applicator picks up a good amount of product

  • Pigmented

  • Feels very lightweight

  • Does not transfer

  • Non-drying

  • Long lasting (can last up to 6-8 hours)

  • Easy to reapply

  • Strawberry juice is a nice shade even for everyday use. Lakas maka-tisay.

  • It has a slight taste to it but not as bitter as the other lip tints I have tried. I gave it a neutral verdict because it is tolerable for me.

What I don’t like:

  • No ingredients written on the packaging

  • I accidentally opened the product upside down once because the cap and the bottle almost have the same shape.

  • Emphasizes dry areas on the lips by making it appear more tinted (exfoliating can help)

  • Unhygienic way of application

  • Quite expensive BUT it has been on sale in Althea for a long time now so if ever you can get it on sale, I'd say it is a steal!

The performance of this product really impressed me. It is now one of my favorite lip (and cheek) tints! If ever the other shades will be available in Althea, I might go and purchase one again.
