Althea Korea Turns 2 (Birthday Haul + First Impressions)

Althea Korea has been my favorite shopping site for my Kbeauty products. Even during the times that I am away from blogging, I still purchase Korean makeup and skincare products from them. My personal favorite are those curated boxes that they sell at very affordable prices.

For this month, they are celebrating their second birthday. How time flies! I can still remember when I was invited to be a beta tester of their website. I was able to join their first birthday celebration as well. For their second birthday, I was given Php2000 credits to shop and I am sharing here the stuff that I purchased as well as the freebies they included in my box.

They placed the products inside a box that actually looks like a cake and you can add more designs using the decorative pieces they provided. This is a limited edition box which my sister and I enjoyed designing.

I made sure I got the things that I really wanted to try. I purchased five full-sized products and I will also share with you my first impressions about them below.

  1. Beauty People Capsule Power Multi-Brow Tint (Coffee Bean Powder) - I just got really curious on how this product would work on me. It feels cool on the skin once applied and, although it is very pigmented, the applicator makes it tricky to apply.

  2. Tony Moly New Delight Tony Tint (Cherry Pink) -  I think this is in new formulation. I have tried a Tony tint before but that one has a different packaging and formulation. Since I have seen a lot of fellow makeup enthusiasts rave about this, I included this in my haul. So far, I am liking how this stains. I have yet to test this for a long period of time to see if it is long-wearing.

  3. Banila Co. Prime Primer (Hydrating) - I don't really use primers but this one has been in my to-buy list of a long time now. I find it expensive for me so I usually just hope I will have it one day. Since it is discounted, I purchased it. I have seen quite a number of posts about the matte one but I wanted to try the hydrating primer just to see if it will be a nice pair for my extremely matte foundations. I think it does a nice job hydrating the face prior to applying foundations and concealers.

  4. Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream #23 - Ever since I saw Anne Clutz' review on this, I made a decision that I'll buy one. I have this before but didn't use it because #23 appears grayish. I skipped and gave it to someone else. Well, it still looks grayish on me now but I have learned how to make it work and I am loving how it performs.

  5. Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel Mist - This one is a superstar because it is very popular. I really like this product because it does not feel heavy on the skin and it smells really good too. The sprayer isn't flimsy and sprays the product almost like a mist on my face.

Aside from the products I purchased, I also received a lot of freebies. There are some full-sized products and some are in sample form.
